This is a 50 mm thick all-aluminum Radiator specifically designed for liquid to air intercoolers.
The aluminum design provides considerably higher efficiency and thermal conductivity than the conventional radiator.
It features the tried and tested GEN2 grid in 2 cores with a finer finish than off-the-shelf grids.
This allows for maximum efficiency at high volume flow and the most compact design.
The grid has been used in a Golf 2 VR6 Turbo, among others (as seen in the image).
It is used together with a 1000 PS Garret air intercooler.
This is a perfect combination that ensures an intake air temperature close to the ambient air temperature even at charging pressures well above 2 bar and ambient air temperatures >30°C. The right pump and right cooling volume naturally must be considered as well for the right dimensioning of the intended application.
For mounting, it includes two M6 threads each on the top and bottom.
The lateral ports feature four M26 x 1.5 mm threads so that they can be turned in any direction as required.
Thread adapters or banjo fittings with push-on hoses can be used here if required.
To minimize back-pressure through the screw connection we even recommend using a parallel inlet and outlet that is possible thanks to the 4 ports.
