This is a 52 mm thick all-aluminum Radiator for all VW Polo 86c 2 G40 (’82 – ’89).
Our Radiator achieves considerably higher efficiency than standard radiators: It has 32 instead of 24 sheets, is thicker and made of a special aluminum alloy for optimal thermal conductivity.
It is 10 mm deeper than GEN1 and uses a 3-core grid ensuring maximum heat dissipation. This grid provides an important advantage: The volumetric flow rate is much higher than in 2-core grids.
Optimized cooling is essential for high-performance applications and/or turbo modifications with the turbocharger being part of the coolant system.

This Radiator can be mounted plug & play.
We principally recommend using original fans with vanes and fan shroud to ensure optimal cooling performance.
The fan for warm climate zones allows for a perfect OEM optimization, as it offers twice the power consumption compared to standard fans for Northern and Central Europe fitting perfectly into the fan shroud and the three-pole connector.
Recommended fans:
– 280 mm with level 2 = 100 W and level 1 = 60 W power consumption OEM Polo 86c G40 (165 959 455 L)
– 280 mm with level 2 = 200 W and level 1 = 120 W power consumption OEM Polo 86c G40 "for warm climate zones and trailer operation" (165 959 455 T)
– 280 mm SPAL - VA03-AP90-/LL-68A with volumetric flow rate up to 2720 m³/h
– 305 mm SPAL - VA01-AP90/LL-66A with volumetric flow rate up to 3170 m³/h (Caution! Modification may be required!)
